Sarpang Bhutan

SARPANG: One of the Southernmost districts with a road access to India was mostly inhabited by Nepali-speaking Lhotshampas but a lot of people from other parts are choosing to settle here owing to the pleasant climate and accessibility. An International airport that has been built there has only increased the inflow of people.

Gelephu airport: It is located right along the border of Bhutan and India and is currently functioning as a domestic airport but there are plans to be convert it into an International airport. The runway at 4kms is twice as longer than the one at Paro International Airport.

Bhutan gate: It is one of the gateways to India and is an important point for transporting goods between Bhutan and India. The Indian town Dadh Ghari on the other side of the border is small but popular place for Bhutanese to shop for vegetables and small homemade and indigenous products.

Gelephu Hot Springs: It is about 20kms from Gelephu town and is small. Not the hottest or the best hot springs in the country but the locals believe it helps in curing skin and bone diseases.

New industrial area at Jigmeling: A new industrial area is being created between Sarpang and Gelephu to minimise the pressure at Passakha Industrial are near Phuentsholing.

Farms: Many of the people here are also into various farming like poultry, diary, piggery, fishery and crops.

What our customers have to say

You have wonderful guides. They are well educated, highly informed problem solver, historian and good communication skills. They showed us presentation from normal programme with different topics. They let us discuss interests – photography and arrange programme accordingly. They always showed positive energy and passion to us. They never argued, instead suggested. We are very happy. My husband was very happy with them as he describe him as professional guide. Thank you so much.
